We have seen the opening salvo in the lead-in to a free agency season that could immensely alter the NBA landscape for seasons to come.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski the five-time NBA All-Star will inform the Thunder that he is opting out of the final year of his contract and will enter unrestricted free agency.

The prevailing thought is that George will head out west and sign with the Los Angeles, a team he stated his desire to play for prior to him being dealt to OKC. This could also pave the way for a certain all-world player from Ohio to join him.
